Overall Strategy
Rhythm-deflecting the Umbrella Barrage is the core DPS mechanic. Mo Blade lets you tank through umbrella timing issues. Summon Yi Dao ally to pull aggro when boss disappears.
Skill Mechanics
Twin Lotus (Dual Umbrella)
SpecialTwo red paper umbrellas fly toward player in arc trajectories at fight start.
Counter: Deflect when white flash appears on umbrellas. Don't mash — observe movement.
Rotating Umbrella Toss
SpecialSpins body and throws umbrella outward, dealing damage as it orbits three times.
Counter: Deflect the first two close hits. Stay near boss to avoid the orbiting umbrella.
Vanishing Strike (Red Flash)
Red Light (Parry)Boss disappears during combo, reappears behind player for a forward charge attack.
Counter: Listen for boss's laughter as audio cue. Deflect the final strike.
Death's Embrace (Gold Flash)
Yellow Light (Dodge)Screen goes dark multiple times, boss appears in darkness, then dashes for grab attack. Massive damage.
Counter: Can ONLY dodge, cannot deflect. Listen for laughter sound effect. Don't waste stamina on early flashes.
Umbrella Barrage
SpecialFloats backward, summons 10 small umbrellas fired at steady intervals, ends with a slam. Best window for depleting Qi bar.
Counter: Rhythm-deflect each umbrella. Dodge the final slam. Don't waste this window.
Phase P2
Overall Strategy
Phantom kills are the #1 priority when they spawn. Possession is lethal. Closed umbrella combo is your best deflect window in P2. Maintain shield for safety.
Skill Mechanics
Possession Array (Paper Phantoms)
SpecialBoss plants umbrella and summons 4 paper phantoms. Must kill at least one or get possessed (massive damage/death).
Counter: Switch to high-damage weapon, deflect phantom attacks for quick execution. AoE weapons recommended.
Spider Lily Rain
AoEMoves to arena center, summons spider lilies from sky creating shockwave explosions on landing.
Counter: Stay in place and deflect the energy waves. Jump over waves if needed. Watch stamina.
Deathly Blossom + Yellow Flash
Yellow Light (Dodge)Four tendrils under player's feet followed by unblockable yellow-flash attack.
Counter: Deflect or dodge the tendrils, then dodge the yellow-flash finisher.
Closed Umbrella Combo
Red Light (Parry)Umbrella closes making deflect timing EASIER than P1. Two horizontal slashes then red-flash vertical chop.
Counter: Deflect the third red-light strike for massive Qi damage. Attack once before first slash, once after.
